2023 Annual Amateur Photo Contest
Sponsored by the Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce
Entries are accepted from June 1 – August 31
The purpose of this contest is to generate a photo library for use by the Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce for the promotion of the Cape Vincent area.

Color photographs taken in and about the Town of Cape Vincent will be accepted. All photos become the property of the Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce and will not be returned. The photographer will receive recognition for any photo used by the Chamber in the promotion of the area. Photos may span any of our seasons and may include such categories as:

People

Historical

Events

Action

Landscapes

(no domesticated animals, please)

No more than Four (4) entries per person will be accepted.

Photos can either be downloaded digitally or dropped off at the Chamber office. Do NOT email submissions. Photos entered at the office may not be smaller than 4 x 6 or larger than 8 x 10 and may be matted but easily removable for use in a scanner. Neither matting nor framing are required. Entries may be submitted between June 1st and August 31st. Only high quality digital photos are acceptable. Enhanced digital photographs will not be considered (no date stamps or text on photos, please.)

Photos are to be submitted with your name, address, phone number, email, and title of photo on the back of photo (for office submissions) or complete form above for digital downloads (link is now closed).

Entries can be submitted by mail: Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 482, 173 N. James St., Cape Vincent, New York 13618.

Eligibility: No persons directly or indirectly affiliated with a photographic company are eligible to participate. Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, serving at the time of the photo contest, may not participate. Amateurs only. You are considered a professional if you make one half of your income from photography.

Three photographs will be selected as First, Second, and Third Place. There will be recognition for one People’s Choice Honorable Mention chosen by ballots submitted by visitors to the Chamber office and “likes” on Facebook. Cash Awards and plaques will be presented to the winners at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Fall Dinner in October.
